digicamsync

Perl-program. A tool for archiving photos from a digicam which can be mounted as an USB drive on the hard disc. Since version 0.2, digicamsync is a Perl-program. Before, it was a Bash script. All copied photos, videos, etc. can be renamed systematically (e.g. [consecutive number]_[creation date].jpg. The directory created for the photos can also get a systematic name, e.g. 2005-08-01--2005-08-14--Holidays.
All parameters can be stored in a configuration file and/or be passed via command line option. I wrote digicamsync for use with an Olympus C-417 camera, but one should be able to configure it for use with any camera that can be mounted as an USB drive.

For all the functions of digicamsync, see the manpage digicamsync (1)!
